...we lead tours from May to October throughout Europe.

Monte Rosa Circle Hike, Italy
(August – October)

This 7day hike takes you around Europe’s second-highest mountain (a.k.a. The Queen of the Alps) and across the Swiss Italian border twice. We walk on ancient trails, over 11,000-ft passes, and into lush green valleys; moving from hut to hut with light backpacks.

We'll hike by Saas Fee, Zermatt, Champoluc, Macugnaga, Gressoney, and Alagna, world renown for their striking beauty and mountain village character. This is a strenuous hike so good physical fitness is required.

Sound of Music Trek: Berchtesgadener Alpen, Austria (July)
Six days of moderate hiking in one of Austria’s most beautiful alpine areas – the Hochkoenig. We will spend one or two days sightseeing in Salzburg, the music capital of the world where we will visit Mozart’s birthplace and attend an opera at the Marionetten theater. Lodging will be in Hotels in Salzburg and Maria Alm and during the trek in mountain huts. This is the area where the movie Sound of Music was filmed.

Gran Paradiso National Park Trek: Italy (July-September)
The Gran Paradiso was the first national park to be established in Italy. It is situated in northern Italy, close to the French border, just south east of the famous Mont Blanc massif. The park was established as a hunting ground by king Vittorio Emanuele in 1856. Paradoxically his protection of the wildlife there, albeit for his own sport, has led to this being an area renown for its fauna, with ibex and chamois roaming the area in abundance. This is a six day, moderately difficult hike traversing the park from east to west. At altitude we stay in alpine huts and in the valleys in comfortable hotels. Absorbing the mountain scenery with it’s towering 14,000ft peaks while we hike over rocky passes and through lush green meadows we work up an appetite for the excellent local cuisine and fine wines we will enjoy during the evenings.

The best of the Dolomites trek: Italy
In 8 days we hike from the Fedaia pass to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Around beautiful spires, through larch forests, pastures and alpine villages. The hiking is of moderate difficulty. Average days are between 3 and six hours of walking which allows for lots of rests, a good lunch and innumerous pictures. Don’t forget a headlamp or torch because we will explore some of the WWI tunnels going hundreds of feet into the mountains and providing secret passages to neighboring valleys. Also there will be the option of doing a "via ferrata" or iron way which is typical of this part of the alps. On our way back to the airport we will spend a day of sightseeing in Venice. In the mountains we will stay in alpine huts, in the valleys comfortable hotels.
