Mountains and more is an American owned and operated guiding company based in Italy and highly specialized in the European Alps. We offer custom trips in skiing, mountaineering and climbing not only in the European Alps but also world wide. Our unique experience and background enables us to provide more than traditional international mountain guiding.

We give our guests a personal learning experience not only in the alps but all over the world that emphasizes safety and having fun in a culturally and physically stimulating environment.

We emphasis:

-small groups with a low guide to client ratio. This maximizes the safety of our clients and makes the mountain experience much more enjoyable for all of us!

-We guide the trips ourselves making sure that your guide is not only UIAGM qualified but also knows your language and customs.

-We value the relashionships and bond created between the guide and client over the years. Most of our business is repeat and many of our customers do trips with us on a yearly basis.

Armin Fisher was born and raised in the Napa Valley, California. As the owner and chief guide of mountains and more he likes to guide most trips himself making sure that quality and safety standards remain high. Armin has lived in Europe since 1980 and was the first non Italian to become certified through the Italian UIAGM/IFMGA program. He has over twentyfive years mountaineering experience with numerous first and solo ascents, including the Integral Peuterey Ridge on Mont Blanc (20 hours solo) and the North Face of the Matterhorn (six hours) to his credit. Ascents of El Capitan, including "Sea of Dreams, A5", and his 5.12 on sight ability demonstrate his versatility as a climber - skiing the 7000ft Marinelli couloir with clients and guiding the steep intricate ski terrain of Alagna, Chamonix, Courmayeur and innumerous other lesser known alpine ski areas also demonstrate his skills as a well rounded skier. In addition to sking and climbing in Europe and North America Armin has successfully lead expeditions to Peru (Alpamayo, Ishinca), Nepal (Ama Dablam) and India (Satopanth) Armin is also fluent in German, Italian, and English. His language and cultural knowledge (having studied music at the university of Vienna, Austria for seven years) combined with the professionalism of a UIAGM certified mountain guide will make your skiing, climbing, or hiking trip to the European Alps an enriching and unforgettable experience.
